All modules are assessed by means of an assignment and examination per module. Work-based assignments constitute 40% of the final assessment mark and examinations contribute the balance of 60% towards the final assessment mark. Examinations are written in June and November of each year while supplementary examinations are written in July and January. At the research stage an external moderator assesses the dissertation.
Examination venues
Examinations may be written in Durban, Johannesburg, Cape Town, East London, Polokwane. Windhoek (Namibia) and Manzini (Swaziland). Other examination venues may be considered based on student demand.
