Centre For Public Sector Management

The Centre for Public Sector Management launched in 2013 provides opportunity for researchers and academics to critically deal with issues of public sector management and public policy. The centre is based within the Institute for Global Initiatives at REGENT Business School. The overall objective of the Centre is to enable South African public managers and policy makers to learn the key lessons emerging out of the global public management and public policy research and education.
In 2014 the Centre is planning, inter alia, two major events. The first of these is a Brown Bag Seminar Series entitled “Issues of Governance in the Public Sector”. More information about the series can be found here. Later in the year centre plans to have a major Local Government Symposium on strategies to improve Service Delivery in the municipalities. Discussions are afoot to present the symposium in partnership with the city of Durban (eThekwini).

Research publications relating to the Centre are available upon request.
