Women of REGENT

The historical significance of 20,000 women marching to the Union Buildings in Pretoria on August 9, 1956, to protest against the extension of Pass Laws remains an essential part of our collective memory. This momentous event led to the declaration of August 9 as National Womens Day, commemorated
annually to honour the bravery and resilience of those women.

At REGENT Business School, we have embarked on a programme to celebrate our own modern-day warriors – 25 exceptional women who play integral roles at our various learning centres, both nationally and internationally. These are some of the remarkable women who manage strategic touchpoints in the
student journey, upholding the RBS culture of efficient service delivery and exceptional student engagement.

During the month of August, we proudly present a curated selection of 25 remarkable women from our extensive female staff contingent, sharing their inspiring profiles on various platforms.

These are the first of the many profiles we would share during the course of the year. These profiles aim to delve beneath the surface, revealing some inner secrets and feelings, while also recounting humorous nicknames and childhood dreams and aspirations. While some moments may evoke laughter, our women also offer profound words of wisdom as they move forward in their journeys. By honouring these exceptional individuals, we not only celebrate their achievements but also recognise the invaluable contributions of women in shaping a brighter future for our society and institutions.
