South African Institute of Chartered Accountants-endorsed PGDA Programme

An opportunity exists for a dynamic and academically driven Lecturer in Managerial Accounting and Finance to join a postgraduate academic team. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality teaching and academic support within a SAICA-endorsed PGDA programme, preparing students for professional success in the accounting and finance profession.

Key Responsibilities
 
* Lecture postgraduate students in Managerial Accounting and Finance modules within the PGDA programme
* Develop and update learning materials aligned to SAICA competency requirements
* Facilitate engaging and interactive learning experiences
* Provide academic support, assessment, moderation, and feedback to students
* Contribute to curriculum development, quality assurance, and academic administration
* Participate in research, academic innovation, and departmental initiatives
 
Minimum Requirements
 
* Qualified CA(SA)
* Minimum of 5 years’ lecturing experience in higher education/academia
* Strong knowledge of postgraduate accounting education (CA stream) and professional programme requirements
* Excellent communication and student engagement skills
 
Added Advantage
 
* Master’s qualification in Accounting, Finance, Education, or a related field
* Experience lecturing on SAICA-endorsed or professional accounting programmes
* Research supervision and curriculum development experience
