Message of Support to UCT
The Management, Staff and Students of REGENT Business School are saddened by the horrific news of fires that have ravaged areas surrounding the University and indeed significant parts of the University property as well.
We are all grateful that no lives have been lost. It is distressing though to note the damage to multiple buildings across various faculties, and in particular, a library which was the repository of centuries of history was also gutted by the fire.
We pray that the buildings are restored and will continue to provide a safe haven for all who are part of the UCT community. As academics and members of the higher education community of South Africa, we are all affected.
We wish to assure colleagues at UCT of our heartfelt support.
