The REGENT Immersive Digital Campus: Where Education Meets Ecosystem
Formal Degrees: Undergraduate & Postgraduate Excellence
At REGENT, your qualification is the foundation. We offer a full range of NQF-accredited business programmes, from Higher Certificates and Diplomas to Degrees, Honours, Postgraduate Diplomas, and MBAs.
All programmes are delivered through a flexible distance learning model, designed for school leavers and working professionals alike. You can study from anywhere in South Africa, or beyond, without compromising on academic rigour or industry relevance.
Our curriculum is developed internally and reviewed annually by our Programme Design, Development and Review team, in consultation with business experts and leading academics. Theory is important. But at REGENT, it is always in service of practice.
The REGENT Advantage
Most institutions offer a qualification. REGENT offers an ecosystem.
Alongside your formal degree or diploma, you have access to a suite of innovation hubs, support structures, and career development services that set our students apart in the job market. This is what we mean when we say we are Teaching different things differently.
iLeadLAB
The iLeadLAB is REGENT’s academic makerspace, a hands-on innovation hub where technology meets creativity.
Equipped with 3D printers, laser cutters, VR headsets, drones, robotics stations, and coding platforms, the iLeadLAB gives students direct access to the tools shaping the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Courses cover everything from AI tools and web design to design thinking, robotic process automation, and soft skills.
The iLeadLAB is available in Durban, Johannesburg, Cape Town, Pretoria, and Eswatini. It is also part of a broader community initiative. REGENT donates one iLeadLAB to a South African secondary school each year, as part of a decade-long commitment to expanding access to future-ready skills.
redHUB
The REGENT Enterprise Development Hub (redHUB) is where ideas become ventures.
redHUB supports two groups of students: would-be entrepreneurs learning how to start a business, and early-stage entrepreneurs who need practical guidance on strategy, funding, and growth. Services include business incubation, co-working spaces, product prototyping labs, mentorship, and access to finance, accounting, and tax support.
Every year, redHUB hosts the Business Plan Pitch Competition, a flagship event where students pitch to a panel of industry leaders for a share of up to R150,000 in funding. Past winners have launched an agri-business, a confectionery delivery service, and a gamers’ merchandise brand.
Work-Directed Learning
REGENT’s Work Directed Learning (WDL) programme bridges the gap between the classroom and the workplace.
Through industry placements, work-related field trips, and simulated work environments, students apply their academic knowledge in real-world settings. The programme is grounded in the Council on Higher Education’s Work Integrated Learning guidelines.
When you graduate, you are not just qualified, you are ready.
Employability
The Employability Office supports students from enrolment to employment.
Services include career counselling, one-on-one consultations, CV reviews, job placement support, and professional mentoring through REGENT Connect. The office focuses on building the full skill set employers actually look for, critical thinking, digital literacy, communication, and the confidence to navigate a competitive job market.
Student
Counselling
Studying remotely can be challenging. REGENT’s counselling service is free, confidential, and available to all enrolled students and staff.
Counsellors listen without judgement, offer new perspectives, and work with you on strategies that are right for your situation. If you need to speak to someone urgently, crisis appointments are typically available within 24 hours.
Whatever you are dealing with, academic pressure, personal difficulties, or something harder to name, support is available. You do not have to figure it out alone.
LearnHub: The Skills Accelerator
Your degree gives you the foundation. LearnHub gives you the edge.
