I was fortunate that I came from a family which provided me a stable background. I was taught to integrate with society, religious and circular which helped me rise above my disability. My visual impairment was never a deterrent during my upbringing and my parents accepted me for whom I was which in turn made me live a normal life just like anybody else. Since 2014, I was employed at RBs and commenced my journey in the enrolment department to facilitate the registration process for the duration of 3 years. Subsequently, I joined student support in answering the telephone call centre which was very much challenging but alongside gained much experiential learning. In 2020 I took of a year’s leave for religious studies. During my return my resume services, I assisted counsellor James in identifying trends and submitted write-ups on an array of topics during the pandemic. In 2022, MR Nadeem Casim spearheaded the training and development programme which became an integral component of the HR Department. This function involved identifying training interventions and to promote career paths for staff development in the long-term. Moreover, These interventions were aimed in order to expedite and bolster operational efficiencies within all spheres of RBS and to ensure robust and longevity in the near future. Since 2024, DR Blom initiated the research department in which I was assigned to disseminate articles on various dynamic concepts under her mentorship. With the above in mind, My journey at RBS was enriching and that I have gained a well-rounded experiential learning within various spheres of the institution.
