Never before has South Africa’s political economy been in such a precarious position. Global constraints aside, the threat of a second recession looms large, there is an increase in economically marginalised communities, we have faced two consecutive quarters of a shrinking economy and investment levels remain weak buffered by fragile business confidence.
What steps is President Cyril Ramaphosa likely to take to turn the tide for SA’s political economy? This is the key question that Standard Bank Chief Economist, Goolam Ballim, will address at a strategic session hosted by REGENT BUSINESS SCHOOL in Johannesburg next week.
Date: 23 July 2019
Time: 18:00
